My name is Jim Batcho. I am a former San Francisco resident living in Busan, Korea. I teach filmmaking and media studies courses for the College of Multimedia (Graduate School of Digital Design and Digital Content departments) at Kyungsung University.

Aside from teaching, I involve myself in various academic, creative, and exploratory endeavors. I play music, write, research, design and mix sound, record noises, travel and take pictures. I also do my best to dig deeper into the Korean language. I’m currently writing a book on sound studies, which I plan to complete by the end of the year.
